Have you ever wondered if God is real or if He actually hears our prayers? I recently experienced something in a very ordinary moment that showed me how personally He works.
We were talking with a young German woman and sharing about the hope we have in Christ. When we offered to pray for her, she asked for something simple and honest. She wanted God to give her a sign that He was real. So we prayed with her and continued the conversation, and she seemed genuinely open and curious.
As we talked, she asked if I spoke Spanish. I told her I live in Spain, and suddenly it became clear we had more in common than we thought. She had lived in Spain for a year, in the same city and even the same town as me. She mentioned a church near her home, and it happened to be the one I attended. Then she told me about an American man who once shared about God with her at her gym and invited her to that very church. As she described him, I realised she was talking about my dad.
In an everyday gym visit and in a simple street conversation months later, God wove two separate encounters together for the same person. Out of all the people on earth, He brought both my father and me to share His love with her in two different countries. And this happened right after she prayed for a sign.
We connected her with a church in her city, and we pray she never forgets that God really does see her, hear her, and pursue her. He meets people not just in big moments but in the everyday places where life happens.
